Technology

Technology has improved lives in many ways, and dentistry is an excellent equipment. Modern equipment helps us make your child's visits more comfortable, productive, and efficient so that we can provide top-quality care, and they don't have to spend a moment longer in the dental chair than necessary.

A digital x-ray of a patients' teeth

Digital X-Rays

Dr. Boling uses the latest digital x-ray technology to examine your child's teeth and jaw development safely. These advanced images use up to 90 percent less radiation than traditional x-rays while providing clearer, more detailed pictures.

We use digital x-rays to check for cavities between teeth, monitor how adult teeth are developing under baby teeth, and ensure proper jaw growth. The instant images allow Dr. Boling to show you exactly what he sees and explain any concerns right away. This technology is especially helpful for children since it's faster and more comfortable than traditional x-rays.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic x-rays provide a complete view of your child's mouth in a single image, including all their teeth, jaws, and surrounding bones. Dr. Boling uses this technology to monitor tooth development, check for missing or extra teeth, and check orthodontic needs.

The process is quick, comfortable, and especially helpful for children who can't have x-rays taken inside their mouths, such as kids with special needs. The child simply stands still for a few moments while the machine rotates around their head. These comprehensive images help us track your child's dental development and catch potential issues early.

A child getting nitrous oxide sedation in Weatherford

Nitrous Oxide or "Laughing Gas"

Also known as "laughing gas," nitrous oxide is a mild sedative that helps anxious children feel relaxed during dental procedures. It's one of the safest forms of sedation, taking effect quickly when breathed through a small nose mask and wearing off just as fast when treatment is done.

Dr. Boling uses nitrous oxide for procedures like fillings or cleanings when children need extra help staying calm. Your child will remain awake and able to respond to questions, but they will feel more comfortable and less anxious. They may have little to no memory of what happened during their appointment.

Digital dental records

Digital Records

Our paperless dental office uses secure digital records to track your child's dental health history, x-rays, and treatment plans in one easy-to-access system. This technology allows Dr. Boling to monitor your child's dental development over time, share information instantly with specialists if needed, and keep detailed notes about your child's preferences and needs. Digital records also mean faster check-in, easier insurance processing, and better coordination of your child's care.

Televisions in treatment rooms

TVs in Treatment Rooms

TVs in our treatment rooms help children stay relaxed and entertained during dental procedures. This simple comfort helps turn dental visits into more positive experiences. Children can watch their favorite shows while getting cleanings, fillings, or other treatments, helping them stay calm and still. Many parents tell us this small distraction makes a big difference in their child's comfort level during visits.
