First Visits (Ages 1 to 3)

Dental exams for toddlers are quick and gentle. We count their teeth, let them ride in the dental chair, and show them our tools to make the visit fun. Dr. Boling checks their baby teeth and looks for cavities, especially around the gums, where bottles or sippy cups can cause problems. He'll also check to be sure your child's jaw and bite are developing properly.

Parents play a big role at these visits! We’ll teach you and your child how to clean and keep tiny teeth healthy at home. Dr. Boling will also answer your questions about teething, bottle feeding, thumb-sucking, and how food and drinks affect your child’s teeth.

Growing Smiles (Ages 4 to 7)

At this age, we start more in-depth exams and cleanings. We explain what we're doing so kids can easily understand and don't feel overwhelmed. Our hygienist will continue to educate your child on the importance of oral hygiene and show them how to brush and floss properly. Dr. Boling carefully monitors how baby teeth are falling out and adult teeth are coming in. He checks for cavities between teeth and may recommend fluoride treatments or sealants to protect your child's teeth.
